Top 50 Creepiest 80's Songs of all Time

Let's get to the point. The 1980's, for whatever reason, was a bastion of really creepy music. Why? Well, why isn't really the focus here. Perhaps it was the advent of new technology, putting synthesizers and other electronic instruments into creative hands, and in turn creating new sounds. Maybe MTV, with it's emphasis on the visual, helped bring creepy people to the forefront, and along with them, their music.

Again, why is not the point. The focus here is which songs were the creepiest? What defines creepy? Many things, including (and in no particular order of importance) 1) weird, indescribable sounds, making one not even sure if it is made by an instrument; 2) weird, indescribable singing or moaning, making one not even sure if a human being is making the sound; 3) bizarre song topics, often including mental paranoia, or just an odd subject, like a chess match; and 4) an aesthetic to the creepy- you can't say why, you just know its creepy. The kind of song, if for some reason you awoke in the middle of the night and heard it, would inspire bizzare and creepy dreams.

This top 50 is certainly up to debate, and all input is welcome. Please note that the list is strictly from Top 100 songs from each year, 1980-1989. There are no New Wave/Punk bands such as The Cure or Depeche Mode (though the Pet Shop Boys do make the list, but again, it was a top 100 hit according to Billboard)- they were inherently creepy in their own way. There are no hair bands either, such as Ratt or Poision. They had a whole different kind of creepy. Their creepy usually involved a restraining order and six weeks at Shady Willows Drug and Rehabilitation Center. The essence of the creepy 80's is to reflect that the mainstream music was, well just plain creepy.
If you still are not sure what is meant by creepy, please check out this video by one of the Kings of Creepy- Der Kommissar by Falco (#19 on the Creepy list, though the video would probably rank higher). Falco hits twice in the top twenty, also at #10 with Rock Me Amadeus.
(YouTube has many, many creepy 80's videos posted, as one would expect. Oh! Internet, is there anything you don't know?)
Though the videos, (as the given example illustrates), add to the creepy, they were not used to influence my list.
1983-1986 proved to be the creepiest period with about (more than?) half the list coming from these four years. And yes, I have no life, though this did not take nearly as long as I might have thought.
